Python Development Internship

About the role

Learn to write clean, testable Python and use it to build real backend services. Starting from core syntax and object-oriented design, you'll move on to data structures, REST APIs with FastAPI, and testing and packaging — the everyday toolkit of backend and automation developers. By the end you'll have built a command-line inventory tool and a weather data API. A good fit if you're aiming for roles such as Python Developer, Backend Developer, or Automation Engineer. The internship is fully online and runs for 1, 2, or 3 months — you choose when you apply. Each week brings a topic, a task, and a hands-on activity, with mentor review on every submission. Interns who complete the track receive an internship certificate, and strong performers may also receive a Letter of Recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Write Python programs using object-oriented design and the standard library
• Build and document REST APIs with FastAPI
• Write unit tests and package your code so others can install and run it
• Build an inventory management CLI and a weather data API service
• Submit each week's task by Wednesday and the hands-on activity by Friday
• Revise your work based on mentor review before moving to the next module

Requirements

• Basic familiarity with any programming language is helpful, but not required
• Current student or recent graduate — no prior work experience required
• Able to commit to the weekly schedule for 1, 2, or 3 months
• A laptop and a stable internet connection
