Java Development Internship

About the role

Build a strong foundation in Java and the Spring ecosystem used widely in enterprise software. You'll work through core Java and OOP, connect applications to databases with JDBC and Hibernate, and build services with Spring Boot, with an introduction to microservices. Projects include a library management system and a Spring Boot task tracker API. Suited to anyone heading towards Java Developer, Backend Engineer, or Software Engineer roles. The internship is fully online and runs for 1, 2, or 3 months — you choose when you apply. Each week brings a topic, a task, and a hands-on activity, with mentor review on every submission. Interns who complete the track receive an internship certificate, and strong performers may also receive a Letter of Recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Apply object-oriented principles to design and structure Java applications
• Persist and query data using JDBC and Hibernate
• Build REST services with Spring Boot and understand the basics of microservices
• Build a library management system and a Spring Boot task tracker API
• Submit each week's task by Wednesday and the hands-on activity by Friday
• Revise your work based on mentor review before moving to the next module

Requirements

• Some exposure to programming basics (variables, loops, functions) is helpful
• Current student or recent graduate — no prior work experience required
• Able to commit to the weekly schedule for 1, 2, or 3 months
• A laptop and a stable internet connection
